Founded in 1997, this committee now has 45
fellow members, among them 1 Chair and 4
Vice Chairs. The aim of the committee is to develop research
and discussion on market oriented legal system,
market transaction legal system and consumers
rights protection, to encourage lawyers to
actively participate in the development of Chinese
market economy, and reinforce the contacts
and exchanges with international lawyers
organizations and professional organizations of
Hong Kong and Macao.
Its duties are:
• to develop research and discussion on
market oriented economic law system
covering company law, enterprise' law ,
contract law, products liability and unfair
competition through exchanges,
training sessions, to sort out information
collections, publication of collected
works and essays and to draft professional
rules in their fields.
• to study related laws, regulations and
state policies and be actively involved
in legislation; to provide suggestions and
proposals to government in making and
revising

push forward state and enterprises'
managing system inline with international
advanced legal system.
• to actively promote the security of
market investment and transaction,
safeguard fair competition order and
expand new areas of practice in economic

International Practice Law Committee
Founded in 1986, this committee now has 23
fellow members, among them 1 Chair and 2
Vice Chairs.
The aim of the committee is to satisfy the need
of socialist market economy and reform and
opening up, to unite lawyers nationwide who
involve themselves in international practice,
to study and learn from international law
theory and practice and improve lawyers'
competence and quality in handling international
business in order to offer high level legal
services to government and clients of both
China and abroad.
Its duties are:
• to develop theoretical research and exchange
of practice experience in international
transaction, to organize exchanges
for lawyers from mainland,
Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao with lawyers
from foreign countries and people
from academic field, government ,
courts and arbitration centers.
• to participate in or direct legal services
for important international projects or
cases authorised by ACLA.
• to make suggestions and proposals to
state legislative, judicial and executive
work.
• to organize lawyers to participate in
training sessions on laws related to international
practice.

international practice to develop foreign
